36 dead in tragic Uttarakhand bus mishap

An overcrowded and poorly maintained bus, carrying nearly double its capacity plunged 150 meters into a gorge near Marchula in Almora district on Monday morning, claiming the lives of 36 passengers. The tragedy accident occurred around 250km away from Dehradun when the 35-seater bus loaded with 63 passengers broke its axis while taking a sharp turn, Kupi Band, and skidded into the gorge.
