Her story takes a turn on the day East Pakistan becomes Bangladesh; the fireplace in 'Indubala Bhatar Hotel' was lit for the first time with the help of Bihari fisherwoman Lachmi, with the meager savings Sindhu earned.
The delicacies at Hotel Indubala are flavored with stories of Bengal (India's West Bengal and Bangladesh) and a woman's journey in this city. Time passes and Indubala Hotel flourishes with more people, food and every Bengali's desire to return to the land of their birth at Indubala's Bhatar Hotel.
