BJP State President Somu Veerraju here on Monday pledged that the BJP will continue its movement against the anti-people policies of the YSRCP government. He was addressing the party's executive committee meeting held at the party's state office.

Senior BJP leaders Sivaprakash, Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao, party national secretaries Sunil Devdhar and Y Satyakumar, national executive member Kanna Lakshminarayana, BJP legislative council president PVN Madhav, MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy and others participated in the meeting.

BJP leaders paid tribute to Gidugu Ramamurthy Panthulu Jayanti by celebrating Telugu language celebrations.

Veeraraju has strongly opposed the state government orders to obstruct the Vinayaka Chavithi festivals and called on the people to be ready to fight against the policies of the state government.

He reminded that in the past too, the government had imposed restrictions in the name of Covid, but there were no restrictions on the celebrations of other religions. He expressed surprise at the requirement of permissions from fire, electricity and police departments.

When I wrote a letter to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said that his aides were making comments on me and asked why the Chief Minister was not responding to the restrictions on the festival.

Referring to the Polavaram project, the BJP state president said that the Center cannot be blamed in this matter. The past and present governments are responsible for the increased expectations. He asked that the state has lost its capital due to YSRCP's decision and how can BJP be blamed.

Veerraju reminded that when Anurag Thakur criticized the state government, Jagan Mohan Reddy rushed to the Prime Minister but never revealed what happened in Delhi. On the Telugu Language Day celebrations, the Chief Minister has no respect for the Telugu language; He issued a statement in English.

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said funds were released for roads, but the funds were used to repair potholes. They expressed concern that fishermen are migrating to other states as the government has failed to build fishing harbors and provide opportunities to them.
