AP CJ Mishra lauds service of Justice Konagara Vijayalakshmi

On the occasion of Justice Kongara Vijayalakshmi's retirement in the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the full court headed by Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra bid her farewell on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice recalled that Justice Vijayalakshmi had disposed of 9,700 cases in the last five years as a judge of the High Court. She started her career as a lawyer in 1985 and worked as a government pleader till 2004.

Later, she also served as Additional Advocate General and Chairperson of Juvenile Justice Committee.

During the farewell, Justice Vijayalakshmi thanked the present Chief Justice as well as the former Chief Justices, her colleagues and her parents who helped her in her career.

She said she was happy to retire as a High Court judge after serving satisfactorily. She learned values ​​and standards from her teachers and seniors and appealed to senior lawyers to guide juniors to provide better legal services to the public.

Advocate General S Sriram praised Justice Vijayalakshmi for delivering excellent judgments during her tenure as a High Court judge.

High Court Bar Association President Janaki Ramireddy, AP Bar Council Chairman Ghanta Rama Rao, Deputy Solicitor General Harnath, many High Court Judges, Registrars, Public Prosecutors, Bar Association, Bar Council members and others participated.
