Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given approval to increase the retirement age of district libraries and aided teachers from 60 years to 62 years.
According to AP Government Employees Federation Chairman Kakarla Venkatarami Reddy, the Chief Minister has ordered the officials to submit proposals before the next Cabinet meeting. Orders to this effect will be issued after the approval of the Council of Ministers.
The government has issued an order increasing the retirement age of government employees from 60 years to 62 years on January 1, 2022. District library employees, aided teachers, universities, societies and employees of various corporations appealed to the government to increase their retirement age to 62 years. At par with government employees.
