AP Minister announce Non-fishermen with white cards to get Rs 25,000 package

Agriculture Minister K Govardhan Reddy has announced that the state government will provide a package of Rs 25,000 to non-fishermen families who have white ration cards as part of the R&R package among the residents of Krishnapatnam port area.

Speaking to the media in Muthukur on Monday, he said that 17,750 families will get Rs.25, 000 and another 3,350 families will get Rs.10, 650 through the package.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Rs. 35.74 crores he said that the guaranteed amount of is being transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The state government is now fulfilling the promise given in 2019.

He reminded that former CM Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy had promised and sanctioned the port. Later, Rs.32 crores was allocated under the R&R package to the fishermen of four villages. The non-fishermen package was also provided to around 2,000 families.

The Congress government announced a non-fishermen package for 10,000 local population and failed to keep its promise. Later, Chandrababu Naidu promised to provide a non-fishery package of Rs.3, 500 per family to the SC-ST population, but failed to provide that too. But, he said that the YSR Congress government will announce it soon and give it to all the deserving people.
