Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Dr. Adimulapu Suresh inspected the site allocated for construction of 220/132/33KV substation in Rangannapalem of Pullalacheruvu mandal on Tuesday.
After inspecting the 11.75 acres of land, the minister interacted with the farmers. They want to let the government help the farmers to get rid of their electricity problems and focus on agriculture.
He said that the government has sanctioned Rs.127.20 crores for the construction of 220/132/33kV substation at Rangannapalem to meet the needs of the farmers of Pullalacheruvu who depend heavily on ground water. He said that the compensation of Rs.1.31 crore related to land acquisition will be given to the concerned farmers soon.
Minister Suresh said that foundation stone will be laid for Thigeleru-5 canal works and most of the ponds and ponds will be filled with Veligonda project water.
RDO Lakshmi Sivajyoti, AMC Chairman Udumula Srinivasa Reddy, YSRCP District General Secretary BV Subbareddy, APCPDCL officials, Sarpanches and others participated in the programme.
