Azad says, “I was forced to leave Congress”

By Our Special Correspondent

Days after resigning from the Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad accused him of 'forcing' him to quit the party and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 'showing humanity'.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Azad said that Congress party leaders are not respected and people do not know about our contribution to the party.

While praising the Prime Minister I understand that Modi is not married and has no children, but he showed his humanity when he spoke in Parliament about the incident with Gujarati tourists. I am the chief minister."

Azad responded to the allegations leveled against him by the Congress leaders that 'Azad is fed up with Modi and will join the BJP'. He said that the party is full of illiterates, especially those working in clerical posts.

Those who know J&K, I can't raise a single vote for BJP." He said Rahul Gandhi is not interested in politics despite the party's efforts. "It was Rahul who hugged the Prime Minister in Parliament, not me," Azad said. Since the letter seeking reforms in the Congress was written in 2020, the party has a problem because no one wants to question it.

Azad stated in his resignation letter that "Unfortunately, the situation in the Congress has reached a point of no return."

The failure of this experiment was unfortunate, for the party was so thoroughly destroyed that the situation became irreparable. Besides, the 'chosen one' is nothing more than a puppet on a string."

He said that the political space of the BJP at the national level has been given to the Congress and the regional parties at the state level.

"All this happened because the leadership tried to put a non-serious person at the helm of the party in the last eight years," alleged Rahul Gandhi without naming him.
