Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu said that the state government is taking all welfare schemes to people's doorsteps through village/ward secretariat and volunteer systems.
According to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's orders, public representatives are going door to door and receiving complaints from people and resolving them.
On Tuesday, MLA Vishnu and NTR along with District Collector S. Dilli Rao organized 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Govardam' at Prashanthi Nagar in Division 61 of Vijayawada City Corporation. Speaking on this occasion, the MLA said that the state government would organize a program called Gadapa Gadapaku in all the assembly constituencies to solve public problems.
During their visit, both the MLA and the Collector inspected vacant lots in Prashanthi Nagar and expressed displeasure over the management of the lands by their owners. The Collector ordered the officials of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation to give notices to the owners and to collect the vacant land taxes from them. They said that vacant lots have become a source of mosquito infestation.
Collector Dilli Rao said that action will be taken as per the Public Health Act if the owners of vacant lots do not pay attention to the notices. Deputy Mayor of VMC Shri Shailaja and others are also with them.
