District Collector Kritika Shukla paid a surprise visit to ZP High School and was shocked to see the unsanitary conditions in the school.
She expressed her dissatisfaction that the facilities in the school were not good. Along with DEO Datla Subhadra, the Collector made a surprise inspection of ZP High School in Rautulapudi mandal and AP Model School in Shankhavaram mandal of Kakinada district on Wednesday.
The Collector inspected the bathrooms, classrooms, furniture etc. belonging to the schools. She also scrutinized the teachers' attendance registers.
Collector Shukla expressed his displeasure that school HM Gadi Kondababu was disappointed with his duties. She was shocked to find the bathrooms dirty and unsanitary.
She was also unhappy with the way to the bathrooms. She questioned how students could attend to the calls of nature by walking the bumpy path and using the very unsanitary bathrooms. She questioned the HM and staff as to how they were tolerating the bad conditions in the premises along with the bathrooms.
The Collector has issued instructions to the officials on the spot to ensure that the bathrooms are kept clean and walk able. He warned that strict action will be taken against the concerned officials if the same situation continues during his next visit.
She interacted with the students and inquired about teacher attendance, teaching method, student attendance, completion of syllabus and teaching method. She advised the students to take advantage of the benefits of the government and achieve higher educational goals.
Later Collector Kritika Shukla made a surprise visit to AP Model School in Sankhavaram mandal. The students were asked about the quality of teaching and the quality of food.
She inspected the food served to the students. They inquired about the menu as per the standards set by the government. She got information about the hostel and its functioning. She visited the classrooms and observed the teaching style of the teachers.
