Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy on Sunday expressed his full support to TRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his national party, which is working to achieve a BJP-free India in 2024.

In a three-hour lunch meeting at Pragathi Bhavan, Kumaraswamy was told that intellectuals from various fields will consult with economists and experts to come up with a consensus on an alternative national agenda.

A press release said the need arises because the Congress is not a strong alternative to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the time has come for regional parties to come together and oust the BJP. Kumaraswamy said that the Telangana model is getting praise.
