Home Minister says, none will be spared if proven guilty in video call

By Our Special Correspondent

Home Minister Taneti Vanitha on Tuesday slammed the TDP for its comments against the YSRCP party leadership regarding Hindupuram MP Gorantla Madhav's video call controversy and said it was showing its sadism on the opposition.

She told the media representatives that if the allegations against Madhav are proved, action will be taken against him.

“We have sent the video clip circulating on social media to the forensic lab to confirm its authenticity. The facts will be known when the report comes. If found guilty, our government will not hesitate to take action against them whether they are ours or not," she asserted.

Police are yet to receive any formal complaint from the 'victim' woman. The case is being investigated based on the video clip circulating on social media and the complaint lodged by the MP. If it is proved to is a political conspiracy aimed at mudslinging, those involved in it will not be spared,' she expressed.

Mocking the roundtable conference of TDP women leaders on this issue, he said that they are playing drama with paid artists to throw mud at the YSRCP government. "Our government is trying to save the MP and they are using abusive language against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Their behavior and body language is aggressive,” said the Home Minister.

Vanitha said that the YSRCP government and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are committed to women empowerment. Many schemes are being implemented for economic development of women. She accused the opposition TDP of making such comments out of jealousy.

Rebutting the allegations of TDP women, she asked former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to tell what action was taken when a complaint was received against the then TDP MLA Chinthamaneni Prabhakar for misbehaving with a female Tehsildar.

What was Naidu's action when his cabinet colleague Ravela Kishore Babu misbehaved with a Muslim woman? She countered that no action was taken against the call money racket.
