Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that all the data related to YSR Yantra Seva Scheme should be displayed in the form of posters at Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBK) so that the farmers can easily understand about the availability and use of agricultural machinery.
In a review meeting on agriculture and allied sectors held on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that tools to be made available to farmers under YSR Yantra Seva and their use should be comprehensively displayed at all RBKs.
Self help schemes should be continued for sustainable economic development under the auspices of YSR. With the distribution of livestock, milk production and economic activities increase, leading to women's empowerment. He stressed that the authorities should ensure that the government's tie-up with Amul and Allana would benefit women dairy farmers in rural areas.
Reviewing the Amul project, he said that Amul has procured 419.51 lakh liters of milk and paid Rs.179.65 crore to 2, 34,548 women farmers so far. As a result, other dairies also increased the price of milk procurement, resulting in an additional income of Rs 2,020.46 crore to the farmers.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that out of total 10,750 RBKs, 6,525 agricultural implements have been distributed. Out of 1,615 cluster level CHCs, 391 have been provided with harvesters and other implements at a cost of Rs.690.87 crore.
A total of Rs.240.67 crores is the subsidy portion. For the remaining RBKs, an action plan has been drawn up for 2022-23 and around 7 lakh farmers will get farm implements and other tools.
Officials explained that 80 percent of the beneficiaries of machinery services are BC, SC, ST and minority farmers, and priority is given to ST farmers in scheduled areas. Deputy Chief Minister B Mutyala Naidu, Ministers K Nageswara Rao, S Appalaraju, Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma and other officials attended the review meeting.
