That Germany has some excellent universities for research is a known fact but I realized the quality of research and the intensity associated with it only after getting admitted for the Masters in Software Engineering for Industrial Applications course at Hof. University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

The most awe inspiring feature of the university is the course which is both job and practical oriented.

The course duration is two years, out of which I have to do my Master’s thesis as an intern in some eminent software firm and, henceforth, I may be absorbed in the same company as an employee after I finish my course. The entire course is taught in English.

To be honest, the best part of my learning era has started from this course. I have gained a lot more true knowledge that I have already did in my bachelors. I am enjoying the way the course is being taught.

As the course itself is named Software Engineering for Industrial Applications, I can apply my Software Engineering skills in my sort of companies like automobile, logistics, etc. I can fit myself as a software professional in any sort of industry.

The course prepares students for complex management and engineering tasks in the domain of software development for industrial applications.

In this field, information technology is increasingly characterized by integrated solutions interconnecting systems at various levels.

Its applications range from low level control of production processes to high level management and logistic tasks of multiple icompanies. Managing projects in this domain requires not only excellent technological competence but also management and engineering skills which have to be trained and demonstrated in a sufficiently complex environment. Therefore, the course comprises extensive training assignments in addition to theoretical courses providing the technological and organizational knowledge.

The Hof University of Applied Sciences is situated in the heart of Europe, in a region near the Czech border where the three states of Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia meet. Its modern architecture and new facilities (lecture halls, cafeteria, and library and high tech laboratories) create an attractive studying environment.
