By Our Special Correspondent

Congress veteran Kamal Nath has said that Rahul Gandhi will be re-elected as AICC president in the November 17 polls to the post. Talking to reporters here, Nath said that Gandhi was going to head the party and everyone in Congress is unanimous about it.

Gandhi had earlier headed the party from December 2017 to July 2019. Reacting to the demand by five Congress leaders to make the Electoral College public before the election to the post of AICC president, Kamal Nath said that ‘Everyone has his view’.

But names of Electoral College members for AICC presidential polls have been printed and anyone can see it.

His statement comes amid speculations as to whether Rahul Gandhi would contest the AICC presidential polls.

Nath described the nutritious food scam in Madhya Pradesh exposed by the auditor general in its draft report as very serious and said that chief minister Shivraj Singh Choudhan should own responsibility for it.

The former chief minister said that his party would raise the issue in the ensuing assembly session. The auditor general has found large scale irregularities in the implantation of Integrated Child Development service (ICDS) scheme in Madhya Pradesh.

The auditor report said that rations worth crores of rupees under the scheme were distributed to the beneficiaries list of who was manipulated.
