Kerala rains: Five districts on red alert for extremely heavy rainfall

Kerala remains on high alert with the India Meterological Department (IMD) warning that the northern and central districts are likely to receive very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on Monday.

In a 10 a.m. weather update, the IMD put northern districts Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod on red alert for extremely heavy rainfall.
