Mangalagiri temple is all set to get a facelift with Rs 1.5 crore

The Pedda Koneru Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple in Mangalagiri has taken a new looks with the Department of Revenue allocating Rs. 1 crore special poojas are performed at the Anjaneya Swamy temple in the middle of the pond.

On every Vasihaka Poornami, the temple authorities conduct Theppotsavam with great pomp.

Devotees from all over the district visited the temple and offered special prayers. However, due to years of neglect, Koneru fell into disrepair. Raft festival has not been held for the past few years. MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, who visited the temple, sent a special request to the Devadaya Department to take necessary steps for the development of the pond.

The officials of that department approved the proposals and allocated Rs. 1 crore. Apart from this, the temple authorities have allocated Rs.50 lakhs for the development of the pond. The temple authorities will discuss the construction plan in the next temple trust meeting and start the work.
