MLC groom Kalyani warned that the ruling YSRCP will not tolerate the false propaganda of TDP leaders against the family members of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
An YSRCP MLC here on Sunday said that the TDP cannot digest the growing popularity of Jaganmohan Reddy and it is giving rise to cheap politics and dragging the Chief Minister's wife YS Bharti into politics. She said it is a shame for TDP to target Bharti who is not in politics.
The MLC alleged that during the tenure of TDP, liquor had flourished and mafia was behind the sale of liquor. Kalyani alleged that illegal liquor trade was going on during the TDP regime and the then Chief Minister's wife Bhuvaneshwari used to take commissions through a person in CM Pashe for granting liquor permits.
She said that the family members of TDP leaders like Ayyanna Patradu, Adikeshavulu Naidu and Yanamala Ramakrishna had obtained liquor permits through MLA Bhuvaneshwari. The MLC alleged that differences had arisen between MLA Bhuvaneshwari and her daughter-in-law Brahmani regarding the sharing of commissions.
The MLC pointed out that more than 250 brands of liquor were sold during the TDP regime and the consumption of alcohol was controlled during the YSRCP government.
