Members of Parliament across party lines bid farewell to the outgoing Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several MPs heaped praise on M Venkaiah Naidu, praising his role as its chairman and recalling the way he encouraged and allowed them to speak in their mother tongues.
YSR Congress MP V. Vijayasai Reddy while bidding farewell to the retiring Vice President on behalf of YSRCP said that Venkaiah Naidu's presence in India's second highest constitutional office is a matter of pride for all the nine crore Telugu people. He wished for a long healthy life.
Vijayasai Reddy said that as he also belongs to Nellore, he was inspired by Venkaiah Naidu's speeches and not only the people of Nellore but the whole country was inspired by his political journey.
