Nithya Menon opened up about turning non-veg while shooting for 'Modern Love Hyderabad'
After the success of 'Modern Love Mumbai', Amazon Prime Video is gearing up for the second edition of the three localized and fictionalized version of the international series 'Modern Love Hyderabad'.
The episode titled 'My Unlikely Pandemic Dream Partner' brings together two powerhouse actors Revathi and Nithya Menon and is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The story explores the special bond between the lead actors.
Set in the heart of Hyderabad, as director Nagesh Kukunoor says, the episode is about the old-world charm of Hyderabad and its love of local cuisine.
Interestingly, Nithya Menon was so bowled over by the famous Hyderabadi cuisine that she even tasted meat. "I have been practicing vegetarianism for some time and when I told the team about it, they were surprised," says Nitya Menon and explained that the special chef invited to cook Hyderabadi delicacies also prepared vegetarian versions for those dishes in shoot.
"There's so much Hyderabadi food... Finally, at one point, I was like, give me chicken, I'll eat it, its fine, and I have to look authentic. So literally, I kept telling them, they turned me into a non-vegetarian. There's too much to eat!"
