President Murmu declines to meet delegation to discuss Dallewal’s strike, SKM urges her to reconsider

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha has urged President Droupadi Murmu to reconsider her decision not to meet a farmers’ delegation on the issue of the hunger strike of farmers’ leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal.

The SKM had sought an appointment with Ms. Murmu and her office told them in a letter that their request had been considered, but “could not be acceded to due to paucity of time”.
