Purandeswari says, AP CM should explain reasons for name change

Former Union Minister and BJP National General Secretary Daggubati Purandeshwari commented that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision to remove NTR's name and replace it with YSR's name without any reason regarding AP Health Sciences University is wrong.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, she questioned how Jagan, who says he has great respect for NT Rama Rao, would do such a thing. She pointed out that many schemes in the name of NTR may have changed their names but they are still running and BJP also has a lot of respect for late NTR.

On the situation in the state, Purandheswari, the daughter of the late NTR, said that due to the government's failure to create infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, entrepreneurs are not seeing a healthy environment and pointed out the condition of the roads in the state Media.

The YSR Congress Party government also spent Rs. SC and ST sub-plan funds were diverted by incurring debts of two lakh crores on the people. She pointed out that the government has failed to keep its promise on the ban.

Former BJP MLA P. Vishnukumar Raju questioned whether Jagan will change Andhra Pradesh to Andhra Pradesh, Vizag Beach to Jagan Beach and Rushikonda to Jagan Konda. He said that it is not appropriate to change names whenever the government changes and Jagan will not be able to come back to power in 2024.
