Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Monday received Rs. 6.18 crore hundi collections, the highest single-day collections since the resumption of Srivari darshan after the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.

"Rs 6.18 crore was the highest revenue on Monday after TTD resumed all types of services and darshans post-Covid restrictions," TTD Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer O Balaji told media persons.

In 2018, TTD's highest single day hundi collection was Rs. 6.45 crores. In July 2018 also, TTD got a hundi collection of Rs.6.28 crores. On Monday, the one-day collection crossed the Rs 6 crore marks for the third time in the history of the temple.

With the academic holidays over, the hill shrine is very crowded with more than 65,000 devotees a day on normal days and more than 80,000 on foot on weekends.
