'Security Issue' Looms Over IPL 2025 Match In Kolkata, Set To Be Rescheduled

The Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants on April 6 is likely to be rescheduled, hinted Cricket Association of Bengal president Snehashish Ganguly. Speaking to PTI ahead of the IPL opener, Ganguly revealed that the Kolkata Police might not be able to provide security for the match due to Ram Navami.

"We have informed the BCCI, and there is still time to take a final call. Even last year, a scheduled IPL match on Ram Navami had to be rescheduled," he added.
