Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who is set to play the role of legendary cricketer Mithali Raj in her upcoming biopic 'Shabhash Mithu', has shared that she was disappointed not to see a single picture of any female cricketer at the MCC Museum at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. A place known as the 'Mecca of Cricket'.
The makers of 'Shabhash Mithu' shot some matches and segments of the movie at Lord's Cricket Ground, where Taapsee went around the museum to get familiar with the sport, the conduct and history of the game.
Talking about her experience shooting at Home of Cricket, Taapsee said: "It's beautiful, it's like a cricket museum, when I go there I see all the things, the pictures and memories they put there are beautiful to take you back. It's a memory and makes you understand the evolution of cricket. Do, but my biggest disappointment in that stadium was that there was not a single picture of any female cricketer."
The actress brought it up with officials at Lord's hoping to see a change in the future. Produced by Viacom 18 Studios and directed by Sreejith Mukherjee, Sabhash Mithu will release in theaters on July 15.
