Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu called to increase passion for mother tongue and preserve Telugu language. He participated in the 'Atmiya Sammelanam' program with political leaders of all parties at Rajanagaram GSL Medical College on Thursday.
Venkaiah Naidu said that Telugu language is like eyes and other languages are like spectacles. 'Eyes need glasses. Without eyes, the spectrum is useless.' He said that everyone in the country must learn other languages and use the mother tongue responsibly.
He said that Hindi is the national language and should be learned. English or French or German or any other language should be studied for the job. He said that no language should be forced without the will of the people.
He said that he had to resign from the BJP before being elected as the vice-president. He said that despite being in the position of Vice President, he has visited almost all the states and Union Territories and interacted with the people.
It is said that India, which was once the guru of the world, has fallen behind due to foreign invasions and foreign rule. Now with the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav we should make our country the most powerful in the world.
He said that the slogan 'Reform, Perform and Transform' given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the guiding mantra in that direction. There should be more reforms at the field level so that the results of the policy decisions taken by the governments reach the people directly and fully.

Before this program, Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated GSL Advanced Bio Skills Center at GSL Hospital. On this occasion, Chairman Dr. Ganni Bhaskara Rao, Directors Dr. Sandeep and Dr. Tarun Gogineni explained to him about Robotic Bio Skill Lab and Advanced Medical Simulation Lab.
