SRKR Engineering College Principal Dr M Jagapathi Raju said that everyone should remember the sacrifices of defense personnel who laid down their lives protecting the borders.
He participated in the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav held in the college premises on Thursday. As part of the celebrations, the family members of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country were honored under the auspices of the NSS unit and the Women Empowerment Cell.
Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) members Havaldar A Trimurtulu and Artisan A Balaji were injured in an LTTE encounter in Sri Lanka; G Venkatalakshmi, who lost his son in the Kargil War; And U Anuradha, who lost her husband in the Kargil War, was felicitated by College Committee Vice-President SV Rangaraju and Principal Dr M Jagapathi Raju.
