YSRCP govt totally ignoring farmer’s welfare flays BJP

By Our Special Correspondent

BJP state general secretary Vishnuvardhan Reddy said here on Sunday that the condition of farmers in the state is mirrored, demanding payment of Rs. 50 lakh rupees in the farmer's death. He said that the state government should treat it as a murder.

The general secretary along with BJP state chief BJP leaders Kola Anand and Suresh told the media that the reason for the farmer's death was the negligence of the authorities.

It is sad that none of the higher officials and ministers responded to the incident of the farmer's loss of life. A senior BJP leader demanded that a one-member commission should be set up on the death of the deceased and an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh should be paid to the families of the deceased.

He said that cases of murder should be registered against the people and officers responsible for the farmer's death.

Referring to the letter written by former minister and senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishna to the Center against the bulk drug complex in Visakhapatnam, he alleged that both TDP and YSRCP are acting against the interests of the state.

He said that the state has gone back 25 years due to the actions of YSRCP and TDP. TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu demanded an explanation on the issue of bulk drug complex whether it was Ramakrishna's personal opinion or TDP's policy.

Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that the state government has rejected the funds given by the center for the development of the state. For example, when the central government extended NDB funds for the construction of roads, the YSRCP government wrote to the center that they did not have the funds to provide matching grants for the project. Also, many railway projects remain on paper.

Referring to the fact that the Andhra Pradesh High Court had reprimanded the implementation of the Right to Education Act in the state, the BJP leader said that the YSRCP government in the state had fallen into the hands of the education mafia.

Why not give 25 percent seats to poor students in private educational institutes of the state? Referring to political alliances with other parties, he clarified that the party high command will take the decision on political alliances. He said BJP is against family political parties and corrupt political parties.
